Job summary

LaplandUK is seeking Elven Post Office Elves to greet families, assist with passport stamping and letter writing, and guide guests through magical experiences at our Lapland Village near Ascot. You will work in a busy, family-focused environment delivering warm, friendly service.

Roles involve handling passports, retail till duties and safeguarding procedures. A minimum commitment of 3 shifts per week is required, with attire and grooming standards to fit the elf experience.

• Answer guest questions confidently, sharing Lapland lore and providing clear information.
• Follow all lost property and safeguarding procedures, ensuring concerns are handled calmly and safely.
• Support smooth operation of the Post Office, maintaining organisation and accuracy.
• Deliver exceptional guest experiences, resolving issues with warmth and Lapland magic.

We are most famous for our award-winning event, buried deep in the Crown Estate near Ascot. 17 years ago, Mike & Alison Battle created the event out of their own desire to take their children somewhere that would celebrate the pure, commercially unsullied, magic of Christmas. Now, with the help of Hollywood set-designers, West-End actors and more than a sprinkling of magic, the event is keeping the magic of Christmas alive for thousands of children every year.

ROLE OVERVIEW

Elven Post Office Elves are the trusted guardians of communication, care, and organisation within Elva's Elven Post Office. They create a warm and welcoming experience for every family, assisting with passport stamping, letter-writing to Father Christmas, guest enquiries, retail purchases, and safeguarding procedures, all while upholding the magic and efficiency of the Lapland Elven Village.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome andassistfamilies visiting Elva's Elven Post Office, providing friendly and knowledgeable guest service.
• Help Small Folk write and post their letters to Father Christmas, creating a memorable and magical experience.
• Stamp Elven Passports accurately and guide guests through this important part of their journey.
• Operate the retail till, processpurchasesefficiently andmaintainhigh standardsof presentation within the Post Office shop.
• Answer guest questions confidently, sharing Lapland lore and providing clear information when needed.
• Follow all lost property and lost child procedures, ensuring concerns are handled calmly, safely, and in line with safeguarding protocols.
• Support the smooth operation of the Post Office,maintainingorganisation, accuracy, and attention to detail throughout the day.
• Deliver exceptional guest experiences, resolving issues with professionalism, warmth, and a touch of Lapland magic.

Pay Rate: £13.75 per hour

Customer Facing Role Requirements Where the Worker is in costume, will be expected to:

• Remove all jewellery and piercings (no clear replacements) - this includes tooth gems/grills.
• Have neatly groomed, natural coloured hair, and as an elf, have all long hair in plaits.
• If worn, religious head coverings must be a neutral colour of brown, beige, or navy.
• Arrive on shift with none or natural make-up (foundation if worn must look like your natural skin tone); minimal mascara, no false eye lashes and no false or painted nails.
• No tattoos are permitted from the collar bone up for all customer facing roles. In addition, no tattoos are permitted below elbow for Food & Beverage, and 2 inches below elbow for all other customer facing roles on site
• Leave all watches, including smart watches and phones securely in your locker.

Please note we require a minimum commitment of 3 shifts per week.
