Job summary

Sefton Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking Post 19 Tutors to deliver accredited and non-accredited programmes at Sefton Adult Education Centre. Casual posts with flexible hours across weekdays, evenings and weekends provide opportunities to support adults in gaining recognised qualifications and reaching their potential.

Candidates should have experience teaching adult learners, plan and assess learning programmes, and adapt to multiple community venues.

Qualifications

  • Experience of teaching adult learners and supporting them to achieve accredited qualifications.
  • A creative and engaging approach to planning and delivering high-quality learning experiences.
  • A genuine commitment to helping every learner succeed and reach their full potential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build confidence and create positive learning environments.

  • The flexibility to teach at various community venues across the borough.
  • A sound understanding of safeguarding and Prevent responsibilities, with a commitment to wellbeing and safety of all learners.

Responsibilities

  • Teach adult learners and support them to achieve accredited qualifications.

  • Work across multiple community venues in the borough.
  • Uphold safeguarding and Prevent responsibilities to ensure learner safety.
