Job summary

Leicestershire County Council is recruiting for a role within the Post-16 team based at County Hall. You will work with young people, families, education settings and partners to support clear planning, inclusive practice and preparation for adulthood beyond Year 11.

You will support post-16 planning, transition and positive next steps, identifying young people at risk of disengagement and contributing to reviews and quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting young people, families or education settings in collaboration with external agencies.
• Understanding of post-16 education, SEND, inclusion or PfA.
• Clear communication, listening and problem-solving skills.
• Good organisation and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Safeguarding and inclusion awareness.
• Willingness to undertake further qualifications and training.
• Ability to travel across Leicestershire.

Responsibilities

• Support post-16 planning, transition and positive next steps with young people, families, schools and providers.
• Help plans reflect aspirations, needs and preparation for adulthood.
• Identify young people at risk of disengagement, NEET or placement breakdown; contribute to reviews and quality improvement.
