Job summary

Senploy is recruiting a dedicated Sixth Form SEND Teacher to support 16-19-year-olds with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) at a partner school in Bolton. You will deliver accessible, structured lessons in a small class, focusing on communication, independence and functional skills to prepare for adulthood.

The role starts after October half term, with a temporary-then-permanent potential for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching pupils with SEND or Autism.
• Ability to differentiate learning for Entry Level-16-19 learners with ASC.
• Experience using visual supports and accessible teaching resources.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver accessible lessons for Entry Level learners (16-19).
• Support communication through visual resources where appropriate.
• Develop pupils' confidence, independence and functional life skills.
• Create consistent classroom routines that help students thrive.
• Build positive, respectful relationships with learners.
• Work closely with teaching assistants and the wider school team.
• Monitor progress and adapt teaching to individual needs.
• Encourage meaningful participation and preparation for adulthood.
