Job summary

Learning Curve Group in Luton is seeking an EHCP Learning Support Assistant to provide structured support to learners with EHCP plans within classroom and outdoor settings. You will tailor materials, reinforce positive behaviours, and assist tutors with necessary adjustments to aid learning outcomes.

The role focuses on post-16 learners with diverse needs and requires a calm, patient, team-oriented approach. 17 hours weekly, with standard school-day timing.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 2 years experience working with Post 16 Learners.
• Knowledge and experience of working with Post 16 learners with EHCPs.
• GCSE, 'O' Level or equivalent qualifications in Maths and English.
• NVQ3 or equivalent as recognised by the National Occupational Standards for Supporting Teaching and Learning.
• Knowledge of different social, cultural and physical needs of learners.
• Training in aspects of SEN (e.g., ADHD, Dyslexia, Autism, SEMH).

Responsibilities

• Provide structured support using interventions per EHCP plan within a class or outdoor setting.
• Aid access to learning experiences and provide modified materials.
• Provide positive reinforcement, praise, and emotional support to learners.
• Advise tutors on adjustments for learners with SEN needs.
• Update Learning Support Plans and logs accurately and timely.
