Learning Curve Group is recruiting an EHCP Learning Support Assistant for Teesside Military Academy. This part‑time, fixed‑term role supports post‑16 learners with SEND and EHCP needs, working Tuesdays 09:00–15:00 for 5.5 hours per week.

The position is fixed until 30 June 2027, offering a structured environment within a national education group. The role requires a solid background in supporting Post 16 learners with EHCPs, GCSEs in Maths/English, and NVQ3 or equivalent, with a calm and patient

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 2 years experience with Post 16 learners.
• Experience working with EHCPs for Post 16 learners is essential.
• GCSE Maths and English required or equivalent.
• NVQ3 or equivalent recognised by NOS for Supporting Teaching and Learning.
• Knowledge of diverse learner needs and SEN training preferred.
• Calm and patient attitude is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide structured support using interventions per the EHCP plan.
• Aid access to learning with modified materials and resources.
• Provide positive reinforcement and emotional support to learners.
• Advise tutors on adjustments for SEND learners.
• Update Learning Support Plans and logs in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with the team to support learner wellbeing and development.
• Attend relevant meetings and contribute to learning support plans.
