Matchtech is assisting a reputable education sector client in Northwich, Crewe, and Winsford to recruit a Learning Support Assistant on a full-time permanent basis.

You will provide one-to-one support to 16-19 learners, work with tutors, support EHCPs, and help create an inclusive learning environment. This role offers professional development and a collaborative team.

Qualifications

Job description

Our client, a reputable organisation within the education sector, is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join their team in Northwich, Crewe, and Winsford. This full-time, permanent role involves providing focused support to learners in a 16-19 study programme.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing one-to-one support to learners, helping them to access the curriculum and engage in classroom activities
  • Working closely with the tutor to develop and implement effective learning strategies
  • Supporting learners with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs), ensuring their needs are met
  • Assisting in the creation of an inclusive and supportive learning environment
  • Collaborating with local authorities to identify and engage young people eligible for work placements
  • Building and maintaining relationships with local employers to secure and develop work experience opportunities
  • Providing reports and updates on the success of work placements and engagement efforts to management
  • Ensuring that all learners experience a high-quality learning programme
Job Requirements:
  • Experience in health and social care, particularly in an educational setting
  • Training experience, ideally with young adults aged 16-19
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build effective relationships with both adults and young people
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Flexibility and adaptability to respond to changing needs and priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other digital tools for managing documentation and communication
  • A proactive, solution-focused approach to problem-solving
