Job Description:

Protocol Education is currently recruiting creative-minded teaching assistants who are confident in delivering one-to-one sessions to students with special needs. These roles are available immediately or from September 2025 at a college in Southwark. The ideal candidates enjoy working with young people and are open to both experienced and inexperienced applicants. The role involves supporting students individually through creative methods such as art or music, preparing them for adulthood, and assisting in lessons like music, art, and P.E. Additionally, there are opportunities to work outdoors supporting students at farms, work placements, and other organizations, helping them become more aware of life outside education and preparing them for the next steps.

The role includes:

  • Location: Southwark, London
  • Full-time: Monday to Thursday, with optional Fridays
  • Long-term position with job security
  • Supporting 6-8 students per class
  • Developing academic and social skills through creative approaches
  • Teaching numeracy, focusing on independence and movement
  • Supporting community involvement and work placements
  • Training opportunities during the role
  • Accessible via excellent transport links
