Job summary

Kingsbury Academy in the United Kingdom is seeking a Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Practitioner to coordinate PBS across the school, ensuring proactive, person-centred approaches support pupils to achieve positive outcomes.

The postholder will work with pupils, families, staff and external professionals to implement strategies that promote communication, emotional regulation, engagement and wellbeing, while providing training and guidance to staff.

Qualifications

• Experience of supporting pupils who present with behaviours that challenge.
• Experience of developing and implementing behaviour support strategies.
• Experience of working with families and external agencies.
• Experience of analysing behaviour or attendance information to inform interventions.
• Experience of delivering interventions to individuals and small groups.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Positive Behaviour Support across the school.
• Promote a proactive, preventative and person-centred approach to behaviour support.
• Lead staff training on PBS and related strategies.
• Coordinate with families, therapists and external professionals to ensure consistency of approach.
• Monitor and report on the impact of interventions to senior leaders.
