Job summary

Autism East Midlands is seeking a Positive Behavior Support Lead to join our team in the East Midlands region. The role involves developing and implementing PBS plans, visiting settings in the region, and collaborating with families and multidisciplinary teams.

The ideal candidate has PBS qualifications and experience, strong behaviour analysis knowledge, and excellent communication skills. Travel across Nottingham, Worksop, Mansfield, Retford and surrounding areas is required.

Qualifications

  • Must have a relevant qualification in PBS or similar.
  • Proven experience in positive behaviour support or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of behaviour analysis and intervention strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Competent with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint presentation)
  • Must have a full driver's license, use of own car and business insurance.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to assess and analyse behaviours and design effective interventions.
  • Train and mentor staff on positive behaviour support principles and techniques.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of positive behaviour support plans, making adjustments as needed.
  • Stay updated on best practices and emerging trends in positive behaviour support.
  • Use data to create and write reports that can be used to inform further interventions or support.
  • Promoting the reduction of restrictive practices across the organisation.

About the PBS team

Our PBS team currently consists of a PBS Team Leader and five Positive Behavior Support Leads and we have an exciting opportunity to expand the team. The team works alongside the operational team to deliver the best approaches and outcomes across both our adult and children's services.

Our focus is on collaborating with the individuals we support to enhance their quality of life and minimise the restrictions they encounter. Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Positive Behaviour Support Lead to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work closely with individuals, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement positive behaviour support plans that enhance quality of life and reduce restrictive practices. This role requires you to be able to drive and visit our settings within the east midlands and South Yorkshire.
