Job summary

Orchard Manor School, part of Options Autism and Outcomes First Group, is opening near King's Lynn. The Positive Behaviour Practitioner will lead restorative, nurturing approaches to Behaviour support, collaborating with SENCO and Family Support to empower students aged 5–16 with complex needs.

You'll coach staff in best practices, work directly with learners on emotional regulation and social skills, and help reduce exclusions through personalised plans and inclusive initiatives.

Qualifications

• Build strong, trusting relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
• Empathy, patience and genuine passion for supporting young people.
• Experience working with children or young people with behavioural or emotional needs.
• Confidence in leading by example and promoting restorative, positive approaches.
• Excellent communication and ability to collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Champion positive behaviour across the school, supporting staff to use consistent, nurturing approaches.
• Work directly with students to help them build confidence, emotional regulation, and social skills.
• Analyse behaviour patterns and use data to guide effective interventions.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and pastoral teams to create personalised support plans.
• Celebrate progress, big and small, through rewards, recognition, and student-led initiatives.
• Support the school's mission to reduce exclusions and promote inclusion for all.
