Job summary

Orbis Education & Care in Powys is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Specialist to support schools across the region. You will provide behavioural consultation, coaching, assessments, and training to staff to understand the function of behaviour and implement positive support strategies.

The role involves developing trauma-informed and neurodiversity-affirming approaches, delivering staff training, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant field (as listed) and experience with SEND.
• Experience supporting children with behavioural needs and SEND.
• Strong understanding of PBS and functional assessment approaches.
• Experience delivering staff training and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Provide behavioural consultation and support to schools across Powys.
• Undertake behavioural and functional assessments.
• Develop Positive Behaviour Support plans and intervention strategies.
• Coach staff to build sustainable practice and reduce exclusions.
• Attend multidisciplinary meetings and produce reports.
