Job summary

Public Health Scotland is seeking a Portfolio Standards Manager within the Strategy & Transformation Service to shape and assure how PHS delivers its Portfolio Organisational Programmes.

You will lead development and continual improvement of PHS’s Project & Programme Management Toolkit, provide training and coaching, and coordinate learning opportunities with the APM partnership. You will also spearhead adoption of AI and digital tools to improve governance and delivery.

Qualifications

Strong project, programme and portfolio expertise.
Excellent communication with senior leaders and diverse audiences.
Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Experience in training, coaching and developing workforce capability.

Responsibilities

Lead the development and continual improvement of PHS’s Project & Programme Management Toolkit (PPT).
Provide training, coaching and practical guidance on project management standards.
Coordinate access to professional development opportunities, including the APM partnership.
Lead adoption and integration of AI, digital tools and automation across project and programme management.
Strengthen governance, organisational capability and drive continuous improvement across PHS’s Portfolio.
