Job summary

The Federation of the Royal Colleges of Physicians in the UK is seeking a Portfolio Pathway Transformation Manager to lead the operational delivery, transformation and continuous improvement of the Portfolio Pathway service within JRCPTB. This 12-month fixed-term role focuses on service improvement, resilience and data-led decision making.

You will manage a team of administrators and collaborate with medical leaders, SACs, the GMC and colleagues across the Federation to deliver a transformation

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent professional experience required.
• Experience leading and managing an operational service, programme or business function.
• Experience leading, motivating and developing staff.
• Demonstrable experience delivering service improvement, transformation and organisational change.
• Excellent planning, organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Experience identifying and managing operational risks.
• Experience using data, reporting and technology to improve performance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with senior stakeholders.
• Experience leading digital transformation or service redesign.

Responsibilities

• Lead the operational delivery of the Portfolio Pathway service across physician specialties.
• Develop and deliver a transformation plan with measurable improvements in performance, efficiency and resilience.
• Use data and stakeholder insight to identify root causes of delay and risk.
• Improve performance against regulatory timeframes and KPIs within control.
• Collaborate with internal teams, SACs and the GMC.
• Drive use of technology and BI to improve workflows and decision making.
• Strengthen arrangements for the clinical assessor workforce, including recruitment and deployment.
• Provide clear line management for the Portfolio Pathway team.
• Produce robust reports and recommendations for senior audiences.
• Support tender responses and transition planning with operational evidence.
