Job summary

mydentist is seeking a Portfolio Manager to join our Tech & Transformation team at our Support Centre in Greater Manchester. The role is hybrid, with one office day per week, and is a 12-month fixed-term contract (37 hours).

You will oversee a portfolio of projects, drive strategic alignment, manage budgets, and lead Project Managers. You'll work in a supportive team serving 4 million patients across the UK's leading dental care provider.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading portfolios in a retail or health services environment.
• Experience with IT transformation and people change methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the portfolio roadmap aligned with organisational objectives.
• Prioritise initiatives based on strategic value, risk, and resource availability.
• Build and maintain portfolio plans, tracking against plan and providing explanations for any deviations.
• Enforce portfolio governance frameworks, standards, and processes as set by PMO.
• Manage portfolio budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting.
• Line manage and develop Project Managers, offering task management and line management.
• Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and delivery excellence.
• Develop strong relationships with stakeholders within the specific pillar.
• Communicate portfolio status and strategic alignment to senior leadership.

You'll be joining our Tech & Transformation within our Support Centre, which is in Greater Manchester (M26 1GG). The role is a hybrid role ideally including one day a week in the office.
