Job summary

Circle Health Group is seeking a Porter (Bank) at Thornbury Hospital in Sheffield. This bank role covers Bank Shifts on an as and when required basis to support busy periods and annual leave coverage.

The Porter will handle patient, equipment and goods movement, escort patients and visitors, and maintain patient comfort and dignity while delivering courteous service. PC literacy and front-line customer service are essential to the role.

Qualifications

• Front line customer facing experience.
• Previous portering experience in a healthcare, hotel or hospitality setting would be beneficial.
• Maths, English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent.
• Proficiency in the use of a PC, including the use of software and systems.

Responsibilities

• Undertake a range of general and ad hoc tasks on a day-to-day basis to meet the requirements of the site such as patient, equipment, and goods (e.g., pharmacy goods) movement.
• Explain hospital facilities and services to patients and family members when escorting people to rooms or other hospital areas.
• Provide a courteous service to internal and external customers.
• Ensure patient comfort and dignity are always maintained.
• Provide security for the facility as required within each specific hospital, ensuring compliance of security processes and external patrols are covered as appropriate to the hospital.
• Comply with all relevant mandatory training.

We have an opportunity for a Porter to join their team of staff in the Portering department.

This is a bank role working on an "as and when required" basis, you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.

Duties Of This Role Include
