Circle Health Group is seeking a Porter for Canterbury's Chaucer Hospital to support the Portering department on a bank basis. The role covers day and night shifts, with responsibilities including patient movement, escorting, and maintaining patient dignity.

The position requires frontline customer service experience and basic GCSEs, with computer proficiency. The bank role offers flexible hours, training, and opportunities within a nationwide private hospital network.

Responsabilidades

• Undertake a range of general and ad hoc tasks to meet site requirements, including movement of patients, equipment and goods.
• Escort patients and visitors, explaining hospital facilities and services as needed.
• Provide courteous service to internal and external customers.
• Ensure patient comfort and dignity at all times.
• Provide security for the facility as required and participate in applicable security processes.
• Night shift duties may include cleaning, sterilisation and preparation of theatres.

Porter (Bank) Chaucer Hospital Bank Shifts Salary: £12.71 per hour

Chaucer Hospital in Canterbury is part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country.

We have an opportunity for a Porter to join their team of staff in the Portering department. This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis, you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.

• Undertake a range of general and ad hoc tasks on a day-to-day basis to meet the requirements of the site such as patient, equipment, and goods (e.g., pharmacy goods) movement.
• Explain hospital facilities and services to patients and family members when escorting people to rooms or other hospital areas.
• Provide a courteous service to internal and external customers.
• Ensure patient comfort and dignity are always maintained.
• Provide security for the facility as required within each specific hospital, ensuring compliance of security processes and external patrols are covered as appropriate to the hospital.
• Night Shift Only: You may be required to support with cleaning, sterilisation and preparation of surgical theatres.
• Comply with all relevant mandatory training.

Applicants should meet the following criteria

• Front line customer facing experience.
• Previous portering experience in a healthcare, hotel or hospitality setting would be beneficial.
• Maths, English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence.
• Proficiency in the use of a PC, including the use of software and systems.
