Job summary
Wernick Refurbished Buildings is seeking an experienced Portal Steel Frame Installer to join our installation team across the UK. You will be responsible for the safe erection of portal steel frame structures and the installation of modular buildings on commercial, industrial, educational, healthcare, and infrastructure projects.
The role requires reading technical drawings, crane operations, working at height, and a Full UK driving licence.
Qualifications
- Experience in portal steel frame erection.
- Experience installing modular buildings or volumetric units.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and installation specifications.
- Experience working with cranes and lifting operations.
- Strong awareness of health and safety legislation and best practice.
- Ability to work at height and in physically demanding environments.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Willingness to travel and work away from home when required.
Responsibilities
- Portal steel frame installation and erection.
- Modular building installation and connections between modules.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and installation specs.
- Carry out weatherproofing and sealing between modules.
- Assist with internal finishing works and building commissioning when required.
- Maintain safety and quality standards on site.
