Job summary

Woodlake Trails in Caernarfon, United Kingdom, is seeking a hands-on Leisure Manager to oversee all aspects of the park's leisure facilities, with a primary focus on the pool complex. You will lead, train, and motivate staff while ensuring safety and high guest experience standards.

You will manage budgets, enforce health and safety regulations, and work with contractors to maintain pool plant and other facilities, delivering exceptional service to guests across peak seasons.

Qualifications

• NPLQ is highly desirable, though not essential as training will be provided.
• Proven experience in a similar role within leisure or hospitality with a focus on pool facilities.
• Experience or certification in pool plant operations is essential.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate a team.
• In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in leisure/pool environments.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with staff, contractors and guests.
• Ability to resolve operational challenges and make decisions under pressure for guest safety.
• Flexible working hours, including weekends and peak seasons.
• DBS check required.

Responsibilities

• Manage all daily operations of the park’s leisure facilities, including the pool complex, ensuring a safe and welcoming guest environment.
• Identify and report expenditure for leisure operations, managing costs and supporting the General Manager to hit financial targets.
• Monitor and enforce health and safety protocols within the leisure facilities, ensuring compliance with company policies and laws.
• Recruit, train and develop leisure staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Oversee pool water quality, ensuring it meets company guidelines and government health standards.
• Liaise with contractors and manage maintenance of pool plant and other facilities.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and ensure safety procedures are followed, especially in the pool area.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve guest issues promptly and professionally.
