Job summary

Parkdean Resorts UK Limited is seeking an Activity and Leisure Manager for White Cross Bay, Windermere. You will lead the swimming pool, leisure facilities and activities programme, ensuring a high‑quality, safe guest experience across the park.

The role requires an NPLQ Lifeguard qualification or willingness to obtain it, plus experience managing a leisure team, strong customer focus and commercial awareness. Weekend/evening work and DBS checks apply.

Qualifications

• NPLQ Lifeguard qualification or willingness to complete the qualification.
• Experience managing, coaching and developing a team in a leisure or customer‑facing environment.
• Excellent relationship‑building skills with internal teams and external guests.
• Strong commercial awareness with ability to maximise participation and guest satisfaction.
• Valid First Aid at Work certificate.
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings and bank holidays.
• Customer‑focused mindset and passion for guest experiences.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day operation of the swimming pool and activities programme.
• Lead, motivate and develop the leisure and lifeguard teams, including 1‑to‑1s.
• Ensure all facilities operate safely and compliantly to the highest standards.
• Maintain pool plant, safety systems and equipment in line with SPLASH manual.
• Ensure lifeguards are trained and compliant with RLSS/STA requirements.
• Monitor water quality and participate in safety testing.
