Job summary

Parkwood Leisure is seeking a Duty Manager for Cardiff International Pool, a permanent, full-time role with a salary of £28,125.36. The post involves ensuring high standards of health and safety, developing innovative leisure programmes and taking shift management responsibility to maximise Centre performance.

The candidate will oversee staff relations, assist with coaching and teaching programmes, and be the main point of contact for open/close duties and emergency calls.

Qualifications

• Desirable qualification in Leisure Management or related subject.
• Knowledge of Leisure or related industry in a small or medium enterprise.
• Current National Pool Lifeguard Qualification and Pool Plant Operators.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the provision of a clean, high quality facility and exciting leisure centre programmes.
• Act as a member of the Leisure Centre Management Team on a shift rota system during opening hours.
• Be available to work poolside on regular shifts to deliver the Centre programme.
• Ensure all Health and Safety procedures are carried out at all times.
• Deputise for the Contract Manager and Centre Manager as requested.
• Assist in staff training and development.
• Ensure financial systems and procedures are implemented and objectives are achieved.
• Provide teaching and coaching courses and maintain a register of qualified coaches.
