Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking a Politics and History Tutor to join our home tuition team in Shipston-on-Stour from September. You will plan and deliver tailored, engaging one-to-one lessons, monitor progress and adapt your approach to each learner while keeping safeguarding standards.

The role offers flexible hours, market-leading pay rates (£30–£40 per hour) and ongoing support from a dedicated consultant network, with CPD opportunities and a referral scheme.

Qualifications

• QTS, QTLS, PGCE or relevant tutoring/teaching qualification is desirable
• Experience teaching Politics and History within the UK curriculum
• Experience delivering high-quality one-to-one tuition
• Strong subject knowledge and the ability to engage and motivate learners
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• A positive, adaptable and proactive approach

The provider is looking to appoint a Politics and History Tutor from September on a flexible basis. The successful Politics and History Tutor will plan and deliver engaging, tailored lessons, monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet the individual needs of each learner while maintaining high standards of safeguarding and professional practice.

The successful Politics and History Tutor will have:

• QTS, QTLS, PGCE or relevant tutoring/teaching qualification is desirable
• Experience teaching Politics and History within the UK curriculum
• Experience delivering high-quality one-to-one tuition
• Strong subject knowledge and the ability to engage and motivate learners
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• A positive, adaptable and proactive approach
