Job summary

Cumbria Constabulary seeks a Staff Vehicle Technician in Carlisle to maintain and service its specialised police vehicle fleet from the Carlisle fleet garage in Houghton. The role supports fault diagnosis and repairs, working 37 hours on a Monday–Friday schedule.

Salary starts at £33,603 and rises to £35,772, with a 23% market forces supplement bringing total pay up to about £41,332–£44,999.56 per annum. Candidate requirements include a Level 3 vehicle technician qualification (or equivalent)

Qualifications

• Level 3 vehicle technician qualification or equivalent.
• Experience in fault diagnosis, repair and servicing.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service Cumbria Constabulary's police vehicle fleet.
• Work from the Carlisle fleet garage in Houghton.
• Support fault diagnosis and repairs.
• Adhere to shift pattern: Mon-Fri, 08:00–16:00.
