Perfect Placement is recruiting on behalf of a Carlisle dealer for a skilled Vehicle Technician to join their team and progress in the motor trade.

You will diagnose, repair and service vehicles to manufacturer standards, perform MOT testing, and keep accurate records of work and parts used. The role offers a competitive salary, 33 days leave, pension, and training including IMI EV maintenance.

Qualifications

Duties of the Vehicle Technician:

• Deliver high standards of technical advice, customer service, and vehicle maintenance
• Conduct vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and servicing adhering to manufacturer standards
• Complete MOT testing for vehicles requiring certification
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used
• Keep up-to-date with the latest vehicle technology, including Electric Vehicle maintenance
• Work effectively within a team to ensure customer satisfaction and departmental efficiency

Requirements of the Vehicle Technician:

• Full valid UK driving licence
• NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent qualification in Automotive Technology
• Previous experience working as an Automotive Technician in a dealership environment
• MOT testing qualification is essential
• Experience or willingness to undertake Electric Vehicle maintenance and repair (training provided)
• Strong communication skills with a customer-focused approach
