Job summary

Royal Mail's Carlisle Workshop is seeking a Level 3 qualified Vehicle Technician for a permanent role in a busy commercial vehicle workshop. The position offers stability with the potential to earn up to £70k including overtime and a 39.5 hour week with rotating shifts. Weekend work is required on a 1 in 3 basis.

You will inspect, diagnose, maintain and repair a wide range of vehicles, using your own toolkit and accessing specialist workshop equipment in a modern facility.

Qualifications

• Qualified mechanic at advanced level (Level 3) in Light or Heavy vehicle.
• Have your own toolkit for standard repairs.
• Experience on a wide range of vehicles including LCV/HGV.

Responsibilities

• Perform a full range of inspections, diagnostics, maintenance and repairs on vehicles and mechanical equipment.
• Carry out routine maintenance and repairs using own toolkit.
• Access specialist tooling and shared equipment in a modern workshop.
