Job summary

Lincolnshire Police is seeking an experienced Initial Training Manager to lead and enhance our Initial Police Training provision, ensuring Student Officers gain the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to perform effectively and confidently in their roles.

Responsibilities

• Leading, managing and developing the Initial Police Training team, creating a positive, inclusive and high-performing workplace.
• Overseeing the design, delivery and review of initial police training programmes to ensure they remain effective, relevant and compliant with professional standards.
• Monitoring learner progress, achievement and engagement, implementing support and interventions where required.
• Using performance data, learner feedback and organisational insight to evaluate programmes and drive continuous improvement.
• Managing resources, systems and budgets to ensure effective service delivery and value for money.
• Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support successful programme outcomes.
• Producing reports and performance information to inform decision-making and future learning and development activity.
