Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Support the management of the Strategic Portfolio Office, delivering PMO, Governance & Reporting activities across the portfolio.
Apply Portfolio Management practices and processes ensuring that the portfolio is consistently following Arch internal methodologies and tools.
Identify an d drive automation where possible in the areas of governance and reporting
Support data driven decision s & reporting across the portfolio ( e.g Risk/Dependency management , project/programme delivery )
Support the management & administration of transformation Tooling (Clarity).
Support the continued development of dashboard reporting (Power BI/Clarity) and provide analytical review/insights using data to support Transformation Portfolio decisions .
Support scoping of new initiatives – specifically high-level costs / benefits / dependencies.
Produce metric driven reporting across the transformation portfolio for large, medium and small initiatives.
Support Resource forecasting in line with transformation portfolio requirements.
Ensure validity and consistency of reporting data across the transformation portfolio.
Support the successful execution of key transformation initiatives as required .
Communicate feedback continuously within the SPM team and with key transformation partners as required .
Ensure timely and accurate reporting across the transformation portfolio facilitating executive level decision-making within Arch International
Manage application access within the SPM team and broader as required
Role Requirements & Skills
Experienced working within/Managing a Portfolio Management function within financial services (london Market)
Proficient in the use of Project Management and reporting tools and system s (Ideally Clarity/Power BI)
Highly experience d in the management , development and production of executive level briefing materials
Analytical and experienced in Data analysis and interpretation in the context transformation portfolio manag e m ent to support data driven decision making
Experience of Financial management and benefit realisation tracking in relation to a large transformation portfolio
Experienced in Risk & Change Management and escalation procedure s in a project and portfolio context (Risk and Resilience attestation)
Strong technical skills and a desire to learn new tooling and applications as required
Problem-solver with the ability to identify and deliver solutions on issues
Strong verbal, written and technical ( Excel and PowerPoint ) communication skills essential
Ability to deal with ambiguity and uncertainty
Must be able to work independently to draw conclusions and make recommendations to the Strategic Portfolio Management and Governance Lead.
Bachelor’s degree preferable.
Project Management/Business Analyst accreditation required . Financial or Technical qualification desirable
6 + years experience in a Project Management Office, Business Analyst role, with F inance & analytical experience
London Market Insurance knowledge preferred
