Job summary

ESCO Maritime Solutions in Rugeley, Staffordshire, is seeking a PMO Analyst to join the PMO and drive governance, reporting, and data insight across maritime and defence programmes. You will lead the implementation of ESCO's new Project Management Tool, ensure data quality, governance compliance, and provide portfolio insights to senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience working within a PMO, Project Controls, Programme Management, or Project Management environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience producing management information, dashboards, and performance reporting.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience working with project management and reporting tools.
• Ability to manage and analyse large data sets.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently while supporting multiple stakeholders.
• Experience implementing or administering Project Management Information Systems (PMIS).
• Knowledge of project controls disciplines including planning, risk, cost, and resource management.
• Experience with Microsoft Project, Jira, Power BI, or similar tools.
• Understanding of portfolio management and governance frameworks.
• Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery approaches.
• APM Qualification or equivalent project management certification.

Responsibilities

• Support PMO governance framework across projects and programmes.
• Maintain PMO metrics, dashboards, and performance indicators.
• Monitor compliance with PMO standards, processes, and governance requirements.
• Support materials for leadership reviews and governance forums.
• Lead the implementation of ESCO's new Project Management Tool.
• Configure, deploy, test, and roll out activities.
• Define reporting, workflow, governance, and dashboard requirements.
• Develop user guidance, training materials, and adoption plans.
• Monitor utilisation, data quality, and process compliance within the new system.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and enhanced reporting capability.
• Act as first point of contact for users requiring support.
• Support PMO Manager in establishing portfolio management information capability.
• Collect, consolidate, validate, and analyse data from projects, programmes, risk registers, schedules, resource plans, and financial reports.
• Produce portfolio-level insights, trend analysis, and performance reporting.
• Assist in identifying emerging risks, issues, dependencies, and opportunities across the portfolio.
• Provide analytical support to enable informed decision making by senior leadership.
• Develop and maintain portfolio dashboards and visual reporting products.
