Job summary

Term Time Teachers are seeking a PMLD Specialist / SEN Teaching Assistant in Tonbridge, Kent, to support pupils aged 4-19 with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties and complex needs. You will assist the class teacher with tailored learning experiences, provide personal care and mobility support, and help with safeguarding.

Start date ASAP with on-site training and CPD provided. Right to work in the UK required; no visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

• No previous experience is required
• Experience with PMLD desirable
• On-site role in Tonbridge, Kent

Responsibilities

• Assist the class teacher in providing tailored learning experiences for students
• Support students with PMLD through sensory-based and communication-led activities
• Provide personal care and mobility support where required
• Behaviour and pastoral support
• Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with students
• Practical approach to meet the individual needs of students
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Caring, compassionate, and a good listener
• Willing to work 1:1 and in small groups with students
• Ensure safeguarding of students
• Attend staff meetings and complete appropriate CPD
