Academics is recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to join a specialist PMLD school in Cheltenham, with an ASAP start.

You will support pupils with profound needs, including PMLD, sensory impairments, and non-verbal communication using PECS, Makaton, AAC, and sensory cues, in a nurturing environment.

This rewarding role involves close teamwork with teachers, therapists and care staff to enable learning through routine, sensory exploration, and personalised support.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with PMLD, SLD or complex needs.
• Calm, nurturing and empathetic approach.
• Confident with personal care and supporting physical needs.
• Strong commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education.
