Job summary

CER Education is seeking a compassionate Secondary SEND Support Assistant for a specialist school in Sheffield. You will support students with PMLD and complex needs, helping them access learning and develop independence.

Role involves 1:1 and small group support, aiding communication, and assisting with mobility and personal care where needed. A Teaching Assistant qualification or care experience is desirable but not essential.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students with SEND, PMLD or complex needs.
• Excellent communication skills and patience.
• Teaching Assistant qualification desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to students.
• Assist with communication and learning activities.
• Support mobility needs as required.
• Deliver personal care where required; work with teachers and support staff.
