Job summary

Evri is seeking a Transport Supervisor for the PM shift at Coventry Hub. This 12-month fixed term contract covers maternity leave and involves leading day-to-day transport operations, briefing drivers, and ensuring on-time departures.

You will report to the Transport Shift Manager and work closely with drivers to maintain compliance, safety and efficiency across the hub on a fast-paced, time-critical operation.

Qualifications

• Experience in busy transport/traffic office environment.
• Experience supervising or managing people at first-line manager level or above.
• Good knowledge of transport compliance and drivers' hours requirements.
• Experience using transport management, telematics and tachograph systems such as Isotrak, Ortec or Tachomaster, or similar.
• Experience monitoring KPIs and producing reports using management information systems.
• A Transport Manager CPC is desirable, though candidates can work towards the qualification.

Responsibilities

• Support the Transport Shift Manager with the operational running of the Hub.
• Brief and debrief drivers; ensure runs and instructions are understood.
• Review route manifests and confirm work, working time and kilometres.
• Investigate late arrivals/departures and take appropriate action.
• Work with stakeholders on collections and deliveries to meet service levels.
• Action vehicle defects identified during checks or on the road.
