Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. is seeking a CNC Setter/Operator (MK1) for the PM shift at the Leicester plant.

The role offers a competitive hourly rate from £18.76, rising to £19.59 in January 2027, with a 22.5% shift premium and enhanced benefits including pension, life assurance and healthcare. The successful candidate will set and operate CNC machines, perform in-process deburring, self-inspection, and ensure programs and documentation are accurate, committing to quality and continuous improvement in

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy manufacturing environment.
• Experience setting CNC machines with Fanuc/Siemens controls (DMG/Mori/CMZ/Doosan).
• Aerospace experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Set, fault find & operate machines to produce fasteners to strict tolerances.
• In-process deburring and self-inspection.
• Use gauges and measuring equipment to ensure product meets specifications.
• Self-certification of personal work.
• Prove out downloaded programs and upload proven program.
• Keep files and paperwork accurate and up to date.
• Produce SPC charts and records.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards.
• Adhere to quality procedures and participate in root cause analysis.
