Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. in the UK Leicester Plant is seeking a CNC Turner Setter/Operator (MK1) to set, fault find and run machines producing fasteners to tight tolerances. The role offers a competitive hourly rate with shift allowances and a path to increased pay from January 2027.

You will work on premium shift hours with training on all machines, participate in continuous improvement, and ensure quality and safety standards are met in a busy aerospace-focused factory environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a busy manufacturing environment.
• Experience setting CNC machines preferably DMG/Mori/CMZ/Doosan with Fanuc/Siemens controls.
• Aerospace experience would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Set, fault find and operate machines to produce fasteners to tolerances.
• In-process deburring and self-inspection.
• Use gauges and measuring equipment to ensure specifications.
• Self-certification of personal work.
• Verify downloaded programs and upload proven programs.
• Maintain accurate computer files and paperwork.
• Produce SPC charts and records.
• Maintain highest housekeeping standards.
• Adhere to quality procedures and participate in root cause analysis.
