Job summary

Mansell Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced CNC Setter/Operator for a PM shift role in the United Kingdom. The candidate will safely set and operate CNC machinery, perform strict quality checks, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

You will load materials, manage tooling, and ensure adherence to health and safety standards. Requirements include an engineering-based qualification in machining or manufacturing and at least two years in a CNC or precision machining

Qualifications

• Two years in CNC or precision machining environment
• Demonstrated ability to set and operate CNC centres and lathes independently
• Familiarity with Mori Seiki machinery is a plus

Responsibilities

• Safely set and operate CNC machinery
• Load/unload raw materials and machined components
• Perform detailed quality inspections against drawings
• Maintain tooling and set offsets; select programs
• Support continuous improvement initiatives
• Adhere to Health & Safety requirements and SOPs
• Contribute to risk assessments and hazard reporting
• Carry out additional operational duties as required
• Machine setting: choose workholding jaws; load tooling; select programs; initial setup and adjustments
