Job summary

Howmet Aerospace seeks a CNC Turner Setter/Operator (MK1) for the Leicester Plant. The role involves setting and operating machines to produce fasteners with strict tolerances, deburring, and self-inspection using gauges to verify specs. You will prove out programs, upload them, and maintain accurate files and SPC records.

Regular housekeeping and adherence to quality procedures are essential. The position offers a competitive hourly rate with shift allowances and a structured benefits package,

Qualifications

• Experience setting CNC machines, preferably DMG/Mori/CMZ/Doosan with Fanuc/Siemens controls.
• Aerospace experience would be advantageous.
• Experience in a busy manufacturing environment and precision work.

Responsibilities

• Set, fault find and operate machines to produce fasteners to tight tolerances.
• In-process deburring and self-inspection.
• Use gauges and measuring equipment to ensure parts meet specifications.
• Self-certify personal work and prove out downloaded programs for correct timings.
• Upload proven programs and keep files and paperwork up to date.
• Produce SPC charts and records; maintain housekeeping to high standards.
• Adhere to quality procedures and participate in root cause analysis.
