Job summary

Howmet Aerospace in Leicester is seeking a CNC Setter/Operator (MK1) to set, fault find and run precision machines producing fasteners to tight tolerances at our Leicester Plant.

You will load programs, verify dimensions with gauges, maintain quality records and participate in continuous improvement. The role offers competitive hourly pay and shift premium at Leicester Meridian Business Park.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a busy manufacturing environment.
• Experience setting CNC machines (DMG/Mori/CMZ/Doosan) with Fanuc/Siemens controls.
• Aerospace experience would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Set, fault find & operate machines to produce fasteners to strict tolerances.
• In process deburring and self inspection.
• To use gauges and measuring equipment to ensure product meets required specifications.
• Self-certification of personal work.
• To prove out downloaded programs and upload the proven program.
• Keep all computer files and manual paperwork accurate and up to date.
• Responsible for producing SPC charts and records.
• Ensure housekeeping is maintained to the highest standards.
• Ensure all quality procedures are adhered to, taking an active part in root cause analysis.
