Job summary

Henry Blue Ltd in Northampton is recruiting three Plumbing & Heating Skills Coaches. These positions combine teaching and assessing with clear salary expectations: £47,000 per annum (perm) or £45 per hour (temp).

You will deliver practical and theory sessions, assess learners, and support qualification progress, maintaining records and working with the team to uphold high teaching standards. Ideal candidates have Level 3 NVQ in Plumbing & Heating or equivalent, solid industry experience,

Qualifications

• Solid industry experience in plumbing and heating.
• Assessor qualification (CAVA / TAQA / A1) or willingness to work towards.
• Teaching qualification (AET or higher) or willingness to work towards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging plumbing and heating sessions, both practical and theory.
• Assess learners in the workshop and in the workplace, and track their progress.
• Support learners through their qualification, from enrolment to completion.
• Keep accurate records in line with awarding body and quality standards.
• Work with the wider team to deliver high standards of teaching and learning.

Salary: £47,000 per annum (perm) / £45 per hour (temp)
Contract: Permanent or temporary, full time

Henry Blue is working with a well established training provider to recruit three Plumbing & Heating Skills Coaches. These roles are open on a permanent or temporary basis. Each is a dual role covering both teaching and assessing, and the pay is set to reflect that.

This is a good fit for an experienced plumber who wants to move off the tools and pass on their trade knowledge. It would also suit an existing trainer or assessor, whether you re after a strong permanent package or flexible temp work.

The role

What you ll need

• Gas Safe registration desirable
• A genuine interest in developing the next generation of tradespeople
