Job summary

Plumb Centre, part of Wolseley Group, seeks a Sales Assistant in Ilkeston to support trade customers, quote on products and build lasting client relationships. The role includes front-line customer service, handling phone and email inquiries, and basic warehouse tasks.

The position is full-time with standard hours and overtime on Saturdays on a rota basis. A background in plumbing/heating knowledge is beneficial and a full UK driving licence is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in face-to-face sales or customer service.
• Strong communication and customer-first approach.
• Team player and willing to support in branch operations.

Responsibilities

• Serve customers on the trade counter with product recommendations and quotes.
• Build relationships to drive repeat business and maximise lifetime value.
• Respond to enquiries by phone and email with timely quotations.
• Assist with warehouse duties including stock handling and order picking/packing.
