Job summary

Activate Learning is seeking a Plumbing Teacher to deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment to our level 1 & 2 students at The Leys College, Blackbird Leys. You will bring industry experience in plumbing and a passion for developing practical skills that lead to employment.

The role is full-time with potential for part-time hours, and includes a generous rewards package, induction and ongoing professional development within our Construction Faculty.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Plumbing qualification required.
• Industry experience within the plumbing sector.
• Educated to GCSE Level 4/C or equivalent.
• Previous teaching experience is an advantage, but not essential as full training will be given.
• IQA qualification or equivalent desirable but not essential.

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Plumber to deliver high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment to our level 1 & 2 students. You will play a vital role in preparing learners for employment by providing industry-relevant knowledge and hand-on training.

Our Construction Faculty has an excellent track record of delivering vocational plumbing courses that embed employability skills at their core. With strong industry links and a team of experienced professionals, we ensure our students receive the best possible training for a successful future in plumbing.

Salary: Up to £43,869 with a potential hard-to-fill supplement (dependent on qualifications and experience).

What do you need to be a Plumbing teacher at Activate Learning?

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Level 3 or abovequalification in Plumbing
• Industry experience within the plumbing sector
• Educated to GCSE Level 4/C or equivalent
• Previous teaching experience is an advantage, this is not essential as full support and training will be given.
• IQA Qualificationor equivalent would be desirable but not essential
