Activate Learning is seeking a Plumbing Assessor to support apprentices across Reading and surrounding areas, assessing competence in workplace and college settings. You will provide constructive feedback, maintain e-portfolio records, and work with employers to ensure high-quality training and successful End-Point Assessment preparation.

As a Plumbing Assessor, you will support apprentices throughout their apprenticeship journey by assessing competence in both the workplace and college environment. This includes evaluating practical skills, technical knowledge, and professional behaviours against the Apprenticeship Standards and in line with ESFA requirements, providing clear and constructive feedback to support learner Development and achievement. Working in partnership with employers, you will ensure apprentices receive high-quality training that meets both qualification requirements and workplace needs. You will play a key role in supporting apprentices to stay on track, build confidence, and successfully achieve their qualification. This is a full-time, permanent role covering Reading and surrounding areas, with flexible and hybrid working options available. Please note, this post is being advertised under AE contract and therefore the salary and benefits may vary depending on offered contract type.
To be successful in this Further Education assessor role, you will bring strong industry experience in Plumbing, alongside a passion for education and skills development. You will be confident working independently, managing a caseload of apprentices, and adapting your approach to meet individual learner needs.
