Job summary

New City College is seeking an experienced Lecturer in Plumbing to teach and assess learners from Entry Level to Level 3. You will use industry knowledge to deliver engaging, high-quality teaching that helps learners progress in their careers.

You will be a qualified Plumber with hands-on experience and possess a teaching qualification such as DTTLS or PGCE, with A1 Assessor Award preferred. You will be organised, proactive and able to work well in a team, with commitment to safeguarding and

Qualifications

Must be a qualified Plumber with hands-on experience in plumbing.
Hold a relevant teaching or training qualification such as DTTLS or PGCE and ideally an A1 Assessor Award.
V1 Award is desirable.

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality teaching, training and assessment across Plumbing qualifications in College and on employers' premises.
Plan and deliver learner-centred programmes developing practical skills and industry knowledge.
Assess and support learners from induction through to achievement with regular feedback.
Develop schemes of work, assessment plans and individual learning plans.
Monitor learner progress and maintain accurate records.
Work with colleagues, employers and awarding bodies to support Plumbing qualifications.
Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement of Plumbing provision.
