Job summary

VANRATH is assisting a large Public Sector Organisation in recruiting a Plumber for an initial 3-month contract, based at the Portadown site.

The role involves maintenance and refurbishment work on Housing Executive stock, covering bathrooms, kitchens, and general plumbing. Applicants should have completed a plumbing apprenticeship and at least one year post-apprenticeship experience, plus a valid driving licence.

Qualifications

• Completed plumbing apprenticeship (time served or skills based).
• Minimum of 1 year post-apprenticeship plumbing experience.”
• Full current driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Undertake plumbing work in maintenance/refurbishment of Housing Executive stock (bathrooms, kitchens, pipes, radiators, etc.).
• Perform first and second fix plumbing work as required.
• Inspect plumbing systems to identify repairs or replacements.
• Complete tasks outside trade when required for operations.

Plumber (Public Sector)

VANRATH are assisting our client, a large Public Sector Organisation, in their search for an Plumberfor 3 months initially with the possibility of extension. You will predominantly be based in their Portadown site.

Responsibilities

• To undertake all plumbing work as necessary in the maintenance and refurbishment of Housing Executive stock, including, bathroom suites/ wet rooms, kitchen replacements, general pipework, fitting cylinders, tanks, radiators, sink-tops, immersion heaters, shower trays and units and any other associated works.
• To undertake, as and when required, first and second fix plumbing work.
• To perform inspections of plumbing systems to identify repair and or replace.
• To complete tasks outside their trade where required for operational purposes.

Requirements

• Have successfully completed an apprenticeship in plumbing (either time served or skills based).
• Have a minimum of one year's relevant* post apprenticeship experience working in a plumbing environment
• Can demonstrate practical knowledge and understanding of current Health and Safety requirements and legislation in a maintenance/repair environment
• A full current driving licence to enable the post holder to carry out the required duties of this post

Remuneration

£27,694 - £32,597 plus Van & Fuel Card.
