Job summary

Link Contracting is seeking an experienced Plumber to join its growing team on a mobile, on-the-road basis across local sites.

You will deliver high‑quality plumbing work, including planned projects and reactive maintenance, across sites such as retail units, pubs, and public buildings. You may support basic joinery, tiling, or plastering when required, while liaising directly with customers to ensure top‑level workmanship and service.

Qualifications

• Essential: NVQ Level 2 / City & Guilds in Plumbing.
• Proven experience as a Maintenance Plumber.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out a full range of plumbing installations, maintenance, and repairs.
• Deliver planned works and reactive maintenance across multiple sectors.
• Attend call-outs and emergency repairs as required.
• Work collaboratively with other trades to meet client goals.
• Provide a “first-time fix” approach wherever possible.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers and site contacts.
• Complete all job-related documentation accurately and on time.
• Work safely in line with Health & Safety policies and procedures.
• Participate in ongoing training and development.

The Role

As a Plumber at Link Contracting, you will deliver high-quality plumbing works, including both planned projects and reactive maintenance, across a range of sites such as retail units, pubs, and public buildings. We’re ideally seeking someone with multi-trade experience, who can also support with basic tasks such as joinery, tiling, or plastering when required. You’ll be expected to liaise directly with customers and colleagues, ensuring work is completed to the highest standard with excellent customer service.

What We’re Looking For

Working Requirements

• Willingness to travel as part of the role
• Flexibility with working hours, including occasional early starts or night work
• Participation in an on-call rota
