Job summary

VanRath is recruiting a Plasterer for a large Public Sector Organisation, principally based at the Newtownabbey site. This 3-month role may extend and requires on-site plastering experience, CSCS/CSR card, and a strong health & safety focus.

You will be responsible for plasterboarding, bonding, screeding, external render and related duties, while maintaining site records and providing technical advice as needed.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
• CSCS/CSR card.
• Relevant on-site plastering experience.
• Working knowledge of current Health and Safety Legislation.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to demonstrate good teamwork values.
• Full, valid, clean driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Plasterboarding, bonding and skimming ceilings and walls.
• Screeding, latexing and external render work.
• Carrying out health and safety checks on equipment and sites.
• Record keeping with site diary and photos.
• Assist in resolving customer queries and complaints.
• Provide technical advice across the business.

Plasterer (Public Sector)

VANRATH are assisting our client, a large Public Sector Organisation, in their search for an Plasterer for 3 months initially with the possibility of extension. You will predominantly be based in their Newtownabbey site.

Responsibilities

• Plasterboarding
• Bonding, skimming - Ceilings & Walls
• Screeding & Laytexing
• External Render
• Wet dash & bell casts
• Installing & skimming insulated plaster board
• Carry out Health and Safety checks on all equipment and jobs
• Record keeping, maintaining a site diary and photographic records.
• Assist in the resolution of customer queries and complaints
• Assess what works are required in individual properties and relay this back to Administration
• Provide Technical advice and guidance to all aspects of the business

Requirements

The Ideal Person:

• Relevant trade qualification - NVQ level 3 or equivalent
• Valid CSCS/CSR card
• Relevant on-site experience in similar role
• Working knowledge of current Health and Safety Legislation
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to demonstrate good teamwork values
• Full, valid, clean driving license
• Experience working on Maintenance contracts is ideal

Remuneration

£27,694 - £32,597 plus Van & Fuel Card.
