Job summary

SMS Environmental Ltd in Oxfordshire is seeking a Plumbing Remedial Engineer to carry out repairs and remedial works across commercial and domestic sites. You will operate with a company van, fuel card, tools, PPE and an iPad, with double-time overtime to boost earnings.

Training in water hygiene and environmental compliance is provided. Mon–Fri, 8am–4pm (37.5 hours); travel across the area, occasional London visits, and a 22-day annual leave entitlement are included.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing or equivalent.
• Full UK manual driving licence.
• At least two years' plumbing experience.
• Willingness to travel across the assigned area, including occasional London visits.
• Ability to obtain Enhanced DBS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out plumbing repairs, remedial works and reactive maintenance.
• Identifying defects and reporting non-compliant systems.
• Supporting water hygiene activities, including sampling and tank disinfection.
• Completing digital reports using company equipment.
• Working safely and independently while maintaining good customer relationships.
