Job summary

SMS Environmental is seeking a Plumber / Plumbing Remedial Engineer to perform repairs and remedial works across commercial and domestic sites. The role offers a company van, fuel card and tools, with 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8am–4pm.

You will identify defects, assist water hygiene tasks, and complete digital reports while maintaining strong customer relations. Travel across the assigned area, including occasional London visits, is required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing or equivalent
• Full UK manual driving licence
• At least two years' plumbing experience
• Willingness to travel across the assigned area, including occasional London visits
• Ability to obtain Enhanced DBS clearance
• Confidence working independently and completing digital reports

Responsibilities

• Carry out plumbing repairs, remedial works and reactive maintenance
• Identify defects and report non-compliant systems
• Support water hygiene activities, including sampling and tank disinfection
• Complete digital reports using company equipment
• Work safely and independently while maintaining good customer relationships
