Job summary

SMS Environmental is seeking a Plumbing Remedial Engineer to carry out plumbing repairs and remedial works across commercial and domestic sites from Reading, Berkshire. You will have a company van, fuel card, tools, PPE and an iPad, with double-time overtime to boost earnings and access to training in water hygiene and environmental compliance.

Working hours are Monday–Friday, 8am–4pm, with willingness to travel across the assigned area, including occasional London visits.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Plumbing
• Full UK manual driving licence
• At least two years' plumbing experience
• Willingness to travel across the assigned area, including occasional London visits
• Confidence working independently and completing digital reports
• Ability to obtain Enhanced DBS clearance

Responsibilities

• Carrying out plumbing repairs, remedial works and reactive maintenance
• Identifying defects and reporting non-compliant systems
• Supporting water hygiene activities, including sampling and tank disinfection
• Completing digital reports using company equipment
• Working safely and independently while maintaining good customer relationships
