Job summary

Outwood Academy Adwick is seeking a PLC Coordinator to lead the Personalised Learning Centre, shape alternative courses and tailor interventions for student cohorts. You will collaborate with SLT and the Inclusion Team to create personalised timetables and drive multi-agency work.

The role focuses on mentoring, safeguarding, and ensuring smooth transitions back to mainstream schooling, with a strong impact on student outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a school with vulnerable young people.
• Ability to communicate with diverse audiences.
• Develop programmes of work to build self-esteem and confidence.

Responsibilities

• Identify student cohorts for the alternative curriculum and deliver relevant courses.
• Liaise with external services (Social and Youth Services, Education Welfare Service, Probation Service) as single point of contact.
• Develop and implement SMART action plans to remove barriers to learning.
• Establish mentoring relationships and undertake student testing (e.g., Lucid).
• Support pupils toward further education, apprenticeships or employment.
