Job summary

Wise is hiring a Senior Product Engineer for the Risk & Control Governance team. You'll help build governance, assurance and data foundations to ensure risk decisions are consistent, explainable and auditable at scale.

You will work at the intersection of the Risk API platform, Product and FinCrime, delivering scalable, high-throughput systems. Your work will enable trusted risk decisions and regulatory evidence generation.

Qualifications

• Backend engineer with experience in high-throughput, data-intensive systems.
• Experience with data quality frameworks and lineage tracking.
• Strong systems thinking and ownership.

Responsibilities

• Build Data Trust with data quality monitoring and data contracts.
• Deliver Continuous Assurance with automated monitoring and drift detection.
• Enable Auditability with audit trails and explainability tooling.
• Integrate governance with Risk API and core platform.
